Dr Sumana Gangi

Dr Sumana Gangi

Dr. Sumana Gangi, a native of India and graduated from Sri Venkateswara Medical College Tirupati AP, India. She has been a Visiting Clinician at prestigious Mayo Medical Center, Rochester MN before pursing further medical education.  She did her residency at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch NJ, an affiliate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. She was awarded as best outgoing resident for excellence in research and academic affairs.  Dr Gangi has completed her Fellowship in Endocrinology from The University at Buffalo, Buffalo NY. While pursuing her fellowship, Dr. Gangi excelled as a clinician under supervision of Dr. Paresh Dandona, an internationally renowned physician for his contributions to endocrinology/metabolism, diabetes and vascular disease.

Dr Gangi is board certified in Endocrinology and metabolism and internal medicine. She is a member of American medical association, American college of physicians, Endo Society and American Diabetic Association. She will provide Endocrine consultative services at Dallas Regional Medical center in Mesquite, Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale and Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett. Her clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, thyroid and adrenal disorders.

Dr. Shalini Paturi

Dr. Shalini Paturi

Dr. Shalini Paturi, a native of India and graduated from Siddhartha Medical College Vijayawada AP, India. Dr Paturi completed her residency at Saint Joseph hospital, affiliate to University of Illinois, Chicago, IL. Dr Paturi has completed her Fellowship in Endocrinology from the Chicago Medical School/ University and Science, and Mt. Sinai Hospital Chicago, IL.

During the Endocrinology fellowship, Dr Paturi had opportunity to train at 3 different locations VA north Chicago, Federal health center and Mt. Sinai hospital downtown Chicago. These various locations provided exposure to different economic groups, patient populations and health settings. For last 3 years (July 2014 to Dec 2017) Dr Paturi was Practicing General Endocrinology which also includes Complicated Diabetes, Insulin Pump, Continuous Glucose monitoring at a hospital employed position.

Dr Paturi is board certified in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She is a member of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She will provide endocrine services at Southern Endocrinology Mesquite Location. Her clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, thyroid and adrenal disorders.

Dr. Sreedevi Guttikonda

Dr. Sreedevi Guttikonda

Dr. Sreedevi Guttikonda native of India and graduated from Osmania University Hyderabad AP, India. Dr. Guttikonda has completed Internship, residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Endocrinology from University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston TX.

Dr Guttikonda is board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She is member of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), Endo Society, American Thyroid Association and American Diabetic Association. She will provide Endocrine consultative services at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett. Her clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, thyroid and adrenal disorders.

Dr Qing Jia

In 1991 Dr Jia graduated from Beijing medical University in Beijing China. She completed her residency at Beijing Youdian hospital in 1992 and obtained an MS in psychology at the department of psychology and bio physics at the Indiana University school of Indianapolis IN in 1996. Additionally, Dr Jia finished her residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Munice, IB and her fellowship in endocrinology at the Ohio State University medical Center in Columbus, Ohio in 2004. Dr Jia specializes in diabetes and thyroid disorders, currently practicing at our  Plano location.

Dr Rosemarie Lajara

Dr Rosemarie Lajara

Rosemarie Lajara, MD, FACE, is an endocrinologist at Southern Endocrinology & Diabetes Associates in Plano, Texas. She earned her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Lajara trained as an endocrinologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where she continued her academic tenure after completing her fellowship. She is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Dr. Lajara is a past president of the Diabetes America Physicians Association and an active member of several scientific advisory boards and professional societies, including the American College of Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

Dr. Lajara’s contributions to her field span basic and clinical research, including the characterization of the insulin-like growth factor 1 gene, as well as trials for many therapies and devices utilized to manage diabetes. She has authored multiple publications in prestigious medical journals, written textbook chapters, and served as editor for several medical journals. Dr. Lajara is actively involved in professional medical education both nationally and internationally, including initiatives from the Endocrine Society, ADA, and the Institute for Diabetes and Cardiometabolic Diseases, in which she has contributed to their curriculum development. She is also a member of the Guidelines Committee for the Endocrine Society and AACE.

Dr. Lajara has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her contributions in her field. In recognition of her patient care, she has been named to the National Committee for Quality Assurance Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.

Dr Anthony Chuang

Dr Anthony Chuang

Dr. Anthony T. Chuang is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. He graduated from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007 and completed his IM residency at Medical City of Fort Worth in 2014. He practiced internal medicine as a hospitalist for TeamHealth Hospital Medicine in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 6 years, before entering his endocrinology fellowship. Dr. Chuang completed his endocrinology fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2022. During his fellowship training, Dr. Chuang created various research posters and virtual presentations for annual conferences in AACE and Endocrine Society.

Dr. Chuang will provide endocrine services at the Mesquite and Greenville locations for Southern Endocrinology. He considers endocrinology to be a fascinating multi-dimensional specialty, as it provides the opportunity to further understand how key endocrine tissues can contribute to metabolic disease, while establishing long-term relationships with his patients. In his spare time, Dr. Chuang enjoys travelling, working on computers and technology, and listening to classical/popular music.

Kim Haire NP

Kim Haire NP

Kimberly Haire is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of nurse practitioners. She is a member of North Texas Nurse Practitioners and American Associations of Nurse Practitioners.

She earned her bachelors of science in nursing at Texas A&M University – Texarkana and her masters of science in nursing from Texas Women University – Dallas. While working as a registered nurse, she became extremely passionate about the health promotion and prevention. She decided to focus her energy on becoming a family nurse practitioner, with a goal to help patients manage chronic diseases, she believes that with the proper knowledge, patients can be actualize their goals for well-being. She strives to help her patients make informed and positive health choices.

In spare time, Kim enjoys traveling, visiting with her family and going to church.

Gary Noworatzky PA

Gary Noworatzky PA

Gary has been a physician assistant for over 30 years. He has worked in family practice settings for about 18 years and the last 15 years he has been working with endocrinologists. With his vast experiences in primary care and endocrinology medical practices, Gary is great position to provide diagnostic, thearupeutic and preventive endocriology specialty services. Gary has board certified in National Commission on Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA).

He has also done 3 years in urgent care and 3 years in industrial medicine. He won a award for Physician Assistant of the year in Texas.

Jessica Forge NP

Jessica Forge NP

Jessica Forge is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Masters of Science from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. She believes in practicing compassionate medicine to meet her patient’s needs and empowering her patients to make informed decision through education. In her spare time she enjoys jiu-jitsu, painting, and baking low glycemic desserts that are healthy alternatives for those with a sweet tooth like hers.

Nia Abraham PA

Nia Abraham PA

Nia Abraham is a licensed and NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science and Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Daemen University in Buffalo, New York. While working in primary care, Nia realized she loved managing common endocrine disorders such as diabetes and thyroid disorders. Nia enjoys the variety of patients that an endocrine environment offers and the ability to help people learn about their health and how to stay well and active throughout their lives. In her spare time, Nia loves to travel to new places whenever she gets the chance. Nia is excited to be a part of Southern Endocrine Associates and looks forward to getting to know you!”
